Filling in the Guarantee is easy. Complete all the boxes, then add in your name and details. Confirm the number of locks you want to register and list where they are. This will be required in case of a claim in the future, we need to make sure that the burglar actually bumped a protected lock. Then we need the code found on the back of the Pickbuster bottle to ensure that the correct number of Protected Locks from each bottle are recorded. Each bottle will protect 80 locks and we record every lock against every bottle. How to apply Pickbuster. Each bottle has been measured with enough product to protect 80 locks with some excess to cover loss of material left in the bottom of the bottle, product left in the straw, priming loss, loss from practising etc. Remove the clear plastic cap and make sure the straw/needle is pushed in to the hole in the pump head. Prime the pump head by depressing the pump head several times until material flows out of the head. Practise on a sheet of paper pushing the pump slowly and moving the head to create a small bead. Each pump will dispense approximately 3ml of Pickbuster solution. This is enough to protect the outside half of the cylinder. ONLY THE OUTSIDE HALF OF THE CYLINDER NEEDS PROTECTING.

Once you are happy at creating a bead, insert the needle/straw as far as it will go in to the top of the cylinder. And pump the head once whilst retracting the straw/needle. This will dispense Pickbuster across the pins in the lock. Wipe any excess from the cylinder face.

Rim Locks (night latch type) have pins that are pushed upwards into the barrel. These type of locks will need to be extracted and treated in an inverted position, to allow Pickbuster to flow into the chambers correctly. Use a screw driver to remove the cylinder, hold it upside down so that the pin side is pointing downwards, and apply pickbuster in the normal way. Leave the lock inverted for 20 minutes to allow Pickbuster to flow around the pins and springs, then re-install the lock.

Pickbuster must be left for a minimum of 20 minutes and ideally left overnight to settle into the cylinder. For the fist 2 or 3 times after installation a small residue may be found on the key when it is withdrawn from the lock. The customer should just wipe this with a cloth. Pickbuster is non-staining, and non-irritant. Pickbuster if swallowed is not considered dangerous although it is still advisable to keep out of reach of children.
